A: Windows 10 or Windows 11. At least 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended), and a 27 inch or LESS monitor. The application is NOT compatible with monitors larger than 27 inches.
Q: How often is the program updated? And what is the cost?
A: The program is updated each December to include all tax law changes that affect the computation of depreciation for the current year and what is known about the next year. The cost of the annual update is currently $210 per year. If the program is bought after September 30th, the first update is free. All subsequent updates must be purchased.
Q: What is the cost of program support?
A: One year of program support is included in the cost of the annual update. Annual updates to Depreciation Calculator are issued each December.
Q: Does Depreciation Calculator interface with any tax preparation software?
A: No, it does not. However, the summary totals can be easily entered into most tax preparation programs from the Form 4562 that Depreciation Calculator prepares.
Q: Does Depreciation Calculator import or convert asset information from any other depreciation programs or an Excel spreadsheet?
A: No, it does not. You must manually enter all asset data directly into Depreciation Calculator. There is no conversion utility to convert your data into our program.

A: The program is designed to meet the needs of small to medium businesses with several thousand assets.
Q: Can Depreciation Calculator be installed on a network?
A: No. This is a Single-User program and cannot be installed on a network. It is to be installed on one desktop computer and one laptop computer that is used by the same person.

A: Yes, the program does handle partial dispositions of an asset.
